Balancing Realism w/Satire - Will it get it right?
Hi Friends we’re close now! When GTAIV came out I remember it felt a bit more focused on real life accuracy and didn’t leave much room for satirizing life. The example that always jumps to my head was going into a fast food joint in San Andreas felt funny as hell. Maybe time has made me forget but I don’t remember that being as prevalent in GTAIV. Like somehow it wasn’t the dark comedy I’d come to know through the originals and the GTAIII era. Or maybe I just failed to kill someone with a big purple dildo, and that’s on me. 🤷♂️ But all that was squashed when GTAV came out, imo. The humor was
